Artist Statement

 

Born on the Northern Beaches, Sydney. Australia
I lives & work in Newport Beach, NSW

 

As an artist with a background in graphic design and architectural drafting, I bring a unique vision to my realistic oil paintings, working to capture the land and seascapes

My artistic approach revolves around seeing not just the physical shapes of the land and water, but also the emotions and memories they evoke. With the richness and layering of oil paint I can maximise the play of light and shadow, the subtle shifts in tone and the brightness of the colours of our country. Add to that the unique textures of our coastal environment and there is a feast of visual reference to draw from.

 

I aim to depict the beauty of the natural scenes we see each day.
